Karla Wozniak at Gregory Lind Gallery
Karla Wozniak is a New York-based artist. Her current show at Gregory Lind Gallery "Significant Landscapes" uses abstraction, spacial illusion, and typography to render everyday American scenery through her own painterly language. There is some irony to the title "Significant Landscapes" as the work is riddled with the signage of McDonald's, Burger King, Chevron, and Payless Shoes.
Wozniak chooses to depict landscapes that are spaces of transit, alluding to the great American road trip. It's summer time, so we're hoping you've been a road trip recently. What better way to reflect upon your road trip than to look at some of Karla Wozniak's paintings.
